Chigwell Construction are proud to announce their success in securing the ISO 9001 accreditation with BSI (UKAS accredited). This followed a rigorous two day audit of Chigwell's offices and sites, and confirms the company's ability to operate and function successfully as a business. This is testament to its staff, as well as the policy and procedures they operate.

We are confident of attaining the ISO 14001 accreditation with BSI later this year, which will confirm the companies commitment and ability to successfully operate its environmental management system.
Genesis Housing Association Ltd - 15/07/2011

Chigwell Construction is proud to announce their success in securing The Kitchen and Bathroom Installation Programme for Genesis / Paddington Churches Housing Association (PCHA).

The framework is divided into three geographical lots across London and locations in Essex and Hertfordshire, with total approximate value of £1.5m per lot. Chigwell was successful in securing Lot 2, it’s preferred Lot.

There was a lot of competition for this contract which involved a rigorous PQQ and tender application process, as well as a presentation attended by Chigwell's management team. The Presentation panel were clearly impressed by Chigwell's proposal, which was supported by references to past and present examples of successful contract delivery.

We look forward to commencing this contract in August 2011.
Downs Estate Management Organisation - 05/07/2011

Chigwell Construction are pleased to announce the successful tender bid for the day to day Responsive Repairs and Day to Day Maintenance contract on behalf of the Downs Estate Management Organisation, Hackney, East London.

This follows an extensive PQQ and Tender process in which Chigwell Construction demonstrated their ability to provide multi trade staff and specialist trades including Gas Safe & NICEIC operatives to provide the necessary service to residents. This includes a dedicated 24 hour emergency service.

We are sure this will be a long standing relationship which the residents of the Downs Estate Hackney will derive a noticeable benefit from.
Chigwell Construction Support SBHA Residents Conference Day 17th September 2011 - 27/06/2011

“Thank you for your donation of £1,500.00 which will be used to purchase a significant number of ‘Argos Vouchers’ which will be raffled at the above event. This will help our residents to get help from people who care, like you have made it possible for SBHA to help senior citizens and families with small children in our area.

We have senior citizens struggling to live on less than £400 a month. Some have to choose between food and lights. SBHA is a leading cause to prevent fuel poverty in West London and is encouraged by the consistent falls in deaths for senior citizens.

Families with young children face similar struggles. SBHA has helped many homeless children and their families have a home again and helped to keep other children from becoming homeless. These children are not off in some third world country or in an inner city ghetto. They are right here in our own back yard, in our schools, on our streets. They desperately need your help. The Ealing Primary Care Trust says one child in every six in our area does not have enough food to stay healthy.

The Chartered Institute of Housing Annual Exhibition - 24/06/2011

“Chigwell Construction attended the Chartered Institute of Housing annual conference and exhibition this year. Widely considered as the flagship event in the UK housing calendar, it provided a unique opportunity for the whole of the housing sector – public, private and non-profit - to come together in one place to learn, improve and network.

The conference created the perfect environment to meet the sector’s leading providers, partners and suppliers of innovative and environmentally friendly building solutions; many of which are already being considered for utilisation on a variety of projects by Chigwell Construction.”
London to Brighton Bike Ride - 20/06/2011

True to the commitment of reducing our Carbon Footprint and to our obligations regarding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), George Beitis, one of Chigwell Construction's Quantity Surveyor's, embarked on the 54 mile London to Brighton bike ride. The ride took George all the way from the green grass of Clapham Common to the pebbles of Brighton Beach in order to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

George said; "It's a great way of promoting cycling as a cost effective and environmentally friendly transport method, whilst raising money for a great and worthy cause."
The Green Deal - 16/06/2011

Chigwell Construction continues to strive for environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions for our clients, as well as minimising the impact our work has on the environment.

As part of our commitment, the management team attended a seminar on the 15^th June 2011 held at the Holiday Inn, Heathrow, on The Green Deal which is due to come into effect in 2012. The seminar was delivered by John Middleton of the CITB and was highly informative and beneficial. Chigwell Construction believe The Green Deal initiative will open up opportunities for us to provide sustainable and comprehensive solutions to existing and new clients and have arranged various training for staff to ensure we are at the cutting edge when the initiative comes into effect. Contracts Manager Angela Willcock will be Chigwell’s Green Deal Advisor and provide practical advice and assistance to clients on a number of ways to save energy and reduce consumption.
