United House - 23/05/2011

As part of Homes for Islington’s Overcrowding Scheme, we are to perform de-conversion refurbishment works to Victorian properties within Islington, North London.

The main contractor is United House and the client is the London Borough of Islington / Homes for Islington.

Works include the installation of new heating, kitchens, bathrooms and electrics, together with refurbishment to the fabric of the properties internally and externally. By upgrading the new unit with both thermal and sound insulation, all works will meet Part L1B and Part E of the Building Regulations, ultimately reducing the property’s carbon footprint.
Wing Walk For A Very Special Charity - 14/05/2011

Sue Floyd achieved her wing walk in style on Saturday 7th May 2011, the bad weather held off in the end and Sue had many friends and family their to support her. Sue said "My event had been booked for several weeks and the day before I was told the weather forecast was not looking good and it was unlikely to take place! Instead of being awake half the night worrying about the actual event, I was worrying about the weather. Luckily the weather held out and it was a fantastic day and I am thankful to everyone who came along to watch and support me". The figure raised is approximately £6,000.00 which will be donated to Hatton School and Special Needs Centre in Woodford Green. Thank you to everybody that kindly donated to this worthwhile cause.

Hatton House Special Needs School Needs You! - 28/04/2011

Hatton House School is a primary aged special needs provision based in London Borough of Redbridge. The school receives no government funding and relies purely on donations and fundraising. We have pledged to raise £20,000.00 over the coming year with a series of fund raising events to help raise money for the children.

On 7^thMay Susan Floyd has bravely agreed to take part in a 'Wing Walk' to raise money for Hatton House Special Needs School. If you would like to pledge your support for Susan all donations no matter how small will be greatly appreciated. All donations that are received will be matched by Chigwell Construction.

Quantity Surveyor Joins The Team - 07/03/2011

Chigwell Construction has appointed a new quantity surveyor to its growing commercial team.

George Beitis joins Chigwell Construction’s growing planned maintenance and voids refurbishment division from United House Ltd.

A fully qualified Quantity Surveyor, George has extensive experience on all aspects of new build commercial, social housing and Decent Homes refurbishment contracts from pre-start feasibility studies through procurement and evaluation.

Hackney Alliance - 24/01/2011

Chigwell Construction starts work today on The Decent Homes Programme for Hackney Homes. This is a 4 year contract working under a frame work agreement with Mulalley, Mansell, Lakehouse and Hackney Homes.
Senrab FC Under 9's - 24/01/2011

Chigwell Construction are pleased to announce their sponsorship for Senrab FC Under 9's new kit. Senrab FC is one of the country's most successful grassroots clubs producing many talented footballers such as Jermaine Defoe, Ledley King, Bobby Zamora, Sol Campbell and Lee Bowyer to name but a few.
Shepherds Bush Housing Group - 17/01/2011

Phase 2 of the Kitchen and Bathroom refurbishment project is due to start on 11th April 2011, an open day for residents was held at Shepherd's Bush Housing Group's Mulliner House offices in Chiswick on Saturday15th January 2011. The day was a resounding sucess with many tenants turning up to meet the team from Chigwell Construction. Residents were also able to view Kitchen and Bathroom displays, flooring choices and paint colours.

The following statement was received from the Head of Asset Management at Shepherds Bush following the open day:

"This is a quick note to say a big thank you for all your support and for attending the SBHA Kitchen & Bathroom Open day. Especially for giving up your free time to attend and create such a wonderful successful day for our tenants. New Finance Manager Appointed - 04/01/2011

Graham Allen has been appointed Finance Manager for Chigwell Construction’s group of companies. Graham, joins the Company from Breyer Group, where he served as Financial & Administration Director for nine years.

Dean Floyd, Chigwell Construction’s Managing Director, welcomed Mr Allen’s appointment:

“Graham joins Chigwell Construction with considerable experience in his field, so I have every confidence that he will be a valuable asset to our company.”
